Volant
is set as a full piece for the entire company, along with three guest performers. This new work deals with familiar and strange spaces and features an original score
by New York composer Daniel Bernard Roumain, Music Director for Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane
Company. The work transcribes delicate, fleet, and tender movement images for various groupings
of dancers, with collaborators Jeff Forbes and Katherine Gray creating specialized lighting and reflective surfaces which defines an unusual configuration for the entire stage and moving body.
